AMDISS and UNESCO launch Peace Center for Journalists

The Association for Media development in South Sudan or AMDISS in collaboration with UNESCO launches a Peace Center for Journalists to ease accessing to information.
 
Commissioner for Access to Information Necodemus Ajak encourages journalist to be proactive in their work.
 
He adds reporting information on time saves lives especially during conflicts.
 
The commissioner hopes that the new center will help journalists to verify their facts and write accurate stories. 
 
UNESCO’s Chief of Education Tap Raj Pant appeals to editors to be good leaders and stop hate speech and miss information.
 
He adds UNESCO is committed to work with the people of South Sudan for better access to information.
 
AMDISS representative Josephine Achiro appreciates UNESCO for the support rendered to people of South Sudan.
 
She calls on all journalists to make better use of the center.
 
The speakers made the remarks on Wednesday at AMDISS in Juba.
