President Salva Kiir on Monday decreed appointment of governors of eight states in line with 2018 Revitalized Peace Agreement.
In a decree read on South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation, President Kiir appointed Emmanuel Adil Anthony for Central Equatoria State, Louis Lobong Lojore for Eastern Equatoria and Alfred Futuyo Karaba for Western Equatoria.
He assigned, Sarah Kilito for Western Bahr El Ghazal, Tong Aken for Northern Bahr el Ghazal, Bona Panel Biar of Warrap and Makur Kulang Yel for Lakes.
President Kiir appointed Joseph Monytuil, governor of Unity State.
The appointment of the governors of Upper Nile and Jonglei States is still pending.
President Kiir also appointed Joshua Kuani for Greater Pibor Administrative Area, William Chol for Ruweng and Kuol Alor for Abyei Administrative Area.
