Yei citizens no longer interested in war, says administrator

The administrator of former Yei River State says the people of Yei and South Sudanese at large, need peace and dialogue because they are no longer interested in war.
 
Amule Felix Sosthene explains that there are conflicts at family levels which need dialogue to resolve their differences.
 
Felix urges the security personnel to allow communities to engage with the opposition to accept peace and abide by the law.
 
The administrator wonders why some people use guns to resolve their issues, exposing the civil population, especially women and girls, to rape and suffering.
 
He cites that it is not good to subject civilians to suffer.
 
The official wish to see an end to the dying of innocent lives.
 
He appeals for community approach strategy to carryout grassroots’ peace initiatives.
 
The speaker made the remarks at the state secretariat on Thursday in Yei.
