The Acting Public Health inspector in Rumbek is encouraging people to keep their surrounding clean by slashing or digging to avoid mosquito breeding.
 
James Magok Akec says rainy season is associated with too much mosquitoes and increased malaria cases, Good News Radio reports.
 
He says the public Health department has ordered every resident to keep their surrounding clean.
 
The health inspector was speaking to Good News Radio on Tuesday in Rumbek.
