Director General urges citizens to report corrupt traffic officers

Director-General of Traffic Police calls on citizens in Juba to report officers asking for money and log books from motorists. 
 
General Akon John Akot said his office will not tolerate illegal action by personnel ruining the reputation of public servants.
 
The official advises the public to take pictures as an evidence of any officer practicing such acts.
 
A few weeks ago, the police cracked down some fraudsters impersonating traffic officer extorting money from motorists.
 
The director general urges citizens to acknowledge officers doing their work professionally.
 
The traffic director made the remarks on Monday during awards ceremony of traffic officer George Kenyi who won the public trust by being professional at his work at Seventh Day Roundabout in Juba.
