Director General in the state ministry of Health of defunct Yei River State says three residential areas of Lomuku, Hai Gabat and New Side are at high risk of spread of coronavirus.
Dr. James Wani appeals to social mobilizers to carry more awareness in these areas because many of the confirmed cases reside there, Radio Easter reports.
He stresses many people are not respecting the Ministry of Health and WHO guideline.
Dr. Wani explains the state ministry of health did not receive financial support from the national ministry to fight the pandemic.
The director states however a few medical equipment and capacity building training was done to some medical personnel.
Dr. Wani stresses Yei does not face the threat of COVID-19 only but also Ebola due to the new outbreak in Congo.
Yei taskforce committee call for immediate installation of the machine donated to the state to ease testing and follow up of cases.
