Community Media Network South Sudan or COMNETSS with support from UNESCO organized a two-day online training to Journalists of Voice of Hope Radio with focus on citizen journalism.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the training was organized on an online session where it was facilitated from Juba while the participants were in Wau Voice of Hope Radio reported.
Facilitator Paul Night said this session is to train the journalists on how to use their skills in changing the mindset of the people for them to live peacefully.
Voice of Hope Radio station manager, Batista Elario Kaima, appreciated the organizers.
He expects from the Journalists to enhance in their work for better delivery of information to the community.
Some participants said they gained knowledge and expect the training not to be the last for them and for other journalists.
They advised their fellow colleagues to use their skills for unity.
The training which started on Friday and ended on Saturday targeted five journalists from Voice of Hope Radio Station.
Before COVID-19, COMNETSS organized similar training to other radio stations in South Sudan.
