Local courts are still operating despite the covid-19 lockdown in the defunct Tonj State.
Tonj Municipal Council Chief Executive Officer Natale Nhial said they are keeping social distancing to ensure their safety from the pandemic, Don Bosco Radio reported.
He explained that they are also implementing orders of the Director-General of the Ministry Local Government for courts to follow preventive measures of covid-19.
Nhial urged NGOs to provide the local courts with kits for preventive measures in order to avoid spread of the virus.
The Chief Executive Officer disclosed that stray dogs are attacking and biting in markets and roads and soon some of them may go crazy.
The official made the remarks to Don Bosco Radio on Thursday in Tonj.
