Eye of Mercy a Community Based organization in Torit with support from Democracy international or DI conducts resource mobilization campaign on COVID-19 to teachers ahead of reopening of schools.
Speaking to Radio Emmanuel executive director of the organization Lacere says the campaign aims at building capacity of teachers to look for resources needed to protect learners against COVID-19.
He adds they have reached out to Grace primary school, Torit model, Torit East, and Iluhum Primary Schools.
‘This workshop is a resource mobilization funded by Democratic international with support from USAID. We look at a specific resource mobilization in COVID-19 situation like how PTA and SMC can be able to get resource like Bucket, the soap, water, sanitizers when schools is reopen so that children are protected.’
Meanwhile Felix Oliha head teacher of Grace Primary School says the training will bring changes in his school.
He adds teachers will do their best to prepare learners on how to fight the pandemic in case schools open again.
