The Veterinaries Sans Frontiers of VSF Germany on Thursday distributed seeds to farmers of Matangai village in Rumbek, Lakes State.
VSF program manager Samuel Uko said the activity targets 13,500 farmers of Mayom, Jiir, Cueiadukan and Amongpiny Payam.
He says the distributed seeds comprise of vegetable, other crops seeds and farming tools.
FAO project officer Peter Jul Matueny advised famers to practice covid-19 precautionary measures while distributing the seeds.
Peter Muoranyar, Payam administrator of Matagai who talked on behalf of the beneficiaries thanked VSF and FAO for distributing seeds at the right time of cultivation.
This is the second time Food and Agriculture Organization or FAO and Veterinaries sans Frontiers Germany and government distributed seeds to farmers in Rumbek.
