Inspector of Police in Riwoto, Kapoeta North County in Eastern Equatoria State is attributing criminal offenses in the area to high consumption of alcohol.
Speaking to Radio Emmanuel Captain Jenisio Omir Lideng recalls that a person in one of the areas was stubbed to death and the perpetrator escaped.
He explains the situation in Riwoto is normal in the morning but changes to worst in the evening due to alcohol consumption.
The official however notes prevalence of minor crimes within Riwoto town.
Inspector Omir mentions misunderstandings between individuals about failure to pay debts at an agreed time as a cause of conflict.
The Police Inspector was speaking to Radio Emmanuel on a telephone interview on Tuesday.
