The Parish priest of Christ the King in the Catholic Diocese of Yei told Christians that it is a sin for those ignoring the Ministry of Health and World Health Organization’s emergency measures for Covid-19.

Radio Easter quoted Fr. Tom Poru Martin during his homily explaining that the ignorance of some individual brings suffering to others.

He encouraged the faithful to observe the measures in order to lead a happy life and cites prayers as the only means to fight the pandemic.

The parish priest congratulated the Muslim brothers and sisters for successful completion of their fasting.

He mentioned that the Muslims have been praying for the whole world to overcome sin especially in this situation of corona virus.

Fr Poru prayed that God enters the hearts of South Sudanese so they can observe the health emergency measures in order to contain the spread of the virus.

Parish Priest Fr Tom Poru was preaching on Sunday through Radio Easter in Yei.
