Reconcile International is urging the youth of Yei in particular and South Sudan at large to engage in productive activities in order to build the nation.
Program Manager Geri Moses said young people need to recognize their diverse roles in building the nation especially with productive activities, Radio Easter reported.
He explained that nation building requires education, agriculture, self-protection and good health.
Moses advised the young people to utilize any opportunity that God gives them like going to school, doing agriculture and having family for better purpose and benefit of all people.
He appealed to the youth with families to take good care of them because they are the smallest units that make up a nation.
Reconcile International Mustafa Adam, program officer, urged the youth to be ambassadors of peace and unity among the 64 communities of South Sudan
Without young people the country will not move forward because the productive age group is youth, Emmanuel Anur, Reconcile international project officer, noted.
He advised young people to believe that they are the pillars of their communities and the country at large and they should avoid giving burden to societies.
These officials made the remarks to Radio Easter on Friday in Yei River region.
