The Ministry of Education said that there is no immediate plan for school candidates due to corona virus pandemic which is bitting all the world.
Earlier South Sudan closed all schools to reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus in the country.
Speaking to Radio Emmanuel, Acting director in the State ministry of Education Odomtilla Hillary said until the virus reduces then the plan will be availed
‘The schools are completely closed down because of the pandemic which is looming all over the globe so the plan of how to open the Secondary schools or the primary or the learning centers is not there because even in the central ministry like in our capital Juba or every states, the define states all over the South Sudan is still not exercising the full attendance of the schools for that the idea of calling P8 or the candidate class to come to school is still under way for discussion until when it is discussed we see that the situation of Corona Virus is reducing then that thing can be put in picture’, he explained.
The director called on the entire South Sudanese to observe medical rules and be the messengers to minimize the virus from spreading.
He advised candidates to keep their books in case of any future changes and avoid roaming along the streets.
‘So my message to all the people is let us observe medical rules let us be ambassadors for ourselves to look for any other possibility to eradicate the pandemic and the candidate class like Senior four and p8 they are candidate class let them keep themselves busy with some books in case the school could open then they may go well in the school otherwise I advise them to be at home not to run in the streets ,not to exercise any other thing so the school will start soon if we realize the Corona Virus is lowering it affecting people from every corner of South Sudan’ the director said.
