UNMISS starts coronavirus awareness campaign in Wau

United Nations Mission in South Sudan Wau branch in partnership with the state high taskforce committee on covid-19 started coronavirus awareness campaign.
 
The event began with departure of a caravan from the State secretariat in Wau to Raja County in Western Bahr el Ghazal.
 
UNMISS representative Majekra Erasmus said the campaign was to let people know what they are supposed to do to prevent themselves from contracting covid-19.
 
He urged parents to monitor their children for their health safety as they are more vulnerable to contract the virus.
 
Spokesperson of the state high taskforce committee on coronavirus Dr. James Ambrose Ucin expressed his joy and gratitude to the UNMISS for enlightening more people in rural areas to obtain information about Covid-19.
 
State high taskforce committee chairperson Remijo Hassan welcomed the campaign by UNMISS and thanked the convoy on their great support to the people of South Sudan. 
 
He urged citizens to maintain the preventive measures because it is the only cure at the moment.
 
The officials spoke to the media after departure of the caravan of UNMISS from state secretariat to Raja County on Friday in Wau.
