The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Yei Erkolano Lodu Tombe on Sunday warmed Christians not to be deceived by others to blame God for not choosing one to become a priest.

He explained that it is not right to say many are called and few are chosen which means that it is God who calls, but do not chose.

Bishop Lodu blamed some Christians for refusing to be ordained as priests in order to serve the Church.

He encouraged the seminarians to have the courage of continuing with the spirit of becoming priests in order to give service to the Church.

The catholic prelate promised to stand in support of the seminarians, and that the Church will send more boys to the seminary to be ordained priests.

Bishop Lodu advised girls to become sisters as the diocese had sent many girls who became Comboni sisters, but are aging up and need replacement.

He mentioned that people cannot be forced to the work of God, but believes that God will still call those who want to serve him.

The Bishop urged the people of Yei to encourage religious and priestly vocation for the Catholic Church to grow in the region.
