Coordinator of Catholic Diocese of Rumbek Monsignor John Mathiang on Saturday asked faithful to stop attending Sunday and other masses due to covid-19.

He reminded believers that religious activities have been suspended since president decreed the closure of churches and mosques to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Good News Radio reported.

He said parishioners should always listen to live masses on Good News Radio from their homes and avoid coming to the church for prayers.

Catholic prelate advised Christians to adhere to precautionary measures laid down by the Health Ministry and WHO until situation return to normal.
