The Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba Santo Loku Pio called on South Sudanese to take safety precautions against corona virus seriously.
He said the pandemic exists and is spreading very fast, cautioning people on misinformation about the existent of covid-19 pandemic in the country, Radio Bakhita.
Bishop Loku urged South Sudanese to remain courageous during this difficult time and assured them of the presence of the Holy Spirit.
The Catholic prelate encouraged citizens to listen and follow the health emergency measures in order to overcome the current situation.
South Sudan has recorded 294 confirmed cases of COVID19, four recoveries and four deaths.
The Auxiliary bishop made the remarks during his homily on Sunday in Juba.
