72%of covid-19 patients are men with 28% women in South Sudan, says WHO

Seventy-two percent of coronavirus patients are men while 28 percent are women, Dr John Rumunu, Public Health officer at World Health Organization in South Sudan.
 
He explains that most of the cases are asymptomatic and 90 percent are South Sudanese while 10 percent is foreign nationals and 17 percent imported cases.
 
The officer adds that the age range of the patients is 3 months to 80-year-old.
 
The Head of Operation of Covid-19 pandemic at the Ministry of Health, Dr Angelo Guop Thon, advises for total lockdown to reduce the spread of the pandemic virus among the community.
 
Dr Guop adds that out of the confirmed cases of Covid-19 one thousand and two contacts were followed as accumulative number and six hundred and eighty-five are on trace by the investigative team.
 
The total confirmed cases of Covid-19 are 290, four recoveries; four deaths with fifteen patients in critical condition.
 
After the head of state eased down the partial lockdown the pandemic cases rose from 90 to 290 patients.
 
The health workers were speaking in the weekly press briefing on Sunday onCovid-19 update by the ministry of health.
