The Internally Displaced Persons or IDPs in Tonj are calling on the government and non-governmental organizations to rescue them from their deteriorating life.
Don Bosco Radio quoted Gabriel Mayuang, a displaced chief, saying they are going through many hardships that need urgent support from well-wishers.
He says for five days now, they are sleeping under trees because they left their homes.
An elderly woman Achalla Nyibang says they have suffered much and they deserve support at this current situation.
Another woman Monica Abau regrets that their belongings were burnt inside their houses and now they do not have food and water.
There are over 2,300 IDPs and the number keeps increasing daily.
Don Bosco Radio could not reach authorities to comment on the matter.
The IDPs spoke to Don Bosco on Saturday in Tonj.
