South Sudan Red Cross supplies soaps to patients in Rumbek State Hospital

South Sudan Red Cross on Friday distributed soaps to patients at Rumbek State Hospital marking international Red Cross and Crescent Societies Day.
 
Good News Radio quoted Red Cross communication officer Daniel Dut Mading saying they are giving soaps and hands washing facilities to courts and hospitals to stop spread of coronavirus in Lakes State.
 
Hospital administrator James Matur thanked the Red Cross team and urged patients to utilize soaps for the intended purpose.
 
Nyanthuoi Mawut, one of the recipients said the soap will help her with regular hands washing.
 
International Day for Red Cross is celebrated annually on May 8, but could not take place this year due to Covid-19 pandemic.
