Veterinaries Sans Frontiers or VSF Germany in collaboration with Food and Agriculture Organization or FAO and state government on Thursday launched season’s seeds distribution to farmers of Matangai village in Rumbek.
VSF Project Officer Amisa Waziri Deng told Good News Radio that the distribution targets 13, 500 vulnerable households in Rumbek Central County.
She said the 60 percent of vegetable crops seeds, farming tools and fishing kits will go to women and 40 to men.
FAO farmer field school trainer, Abraham Mading, warned farmers against taking the distributed seeds to the market for sell.
The seeds distribution which started in Rumbek Center is expected to take place in other counties of Lakes State.
