The Director of Tonj Civil Hospital Dr. Mathiang Agany on Thursday said that malaria and watery diarrhea are the common diseases being reported to his office daily.

Don Bosco Radio quoted him explaining that ‘the cause of watery diarrhea is because of this hot temperature and drinking of unclean water’.

Agany stressed that the problem is not lack of drugs or doctors to give prescription to patients, but bad habit that everybody wants to get injection of any medicine according to his or her will which is completely unhealthy.

He mentioned that some patients don not take drugs as prescribed by doctors and stop taking drugs when they get better.

The doctor advised all educated people to teach their family members how to follow prescriptions because it is very harmful to take injection or medicines when it is not needed.

The Doctor urged all south Sudanese to adhere to the guidelines from the high level taskforce together with the national Ministry of Health And World Health Organization in order to stop the spread of coronavirus in the country.

Dr. Agany called on the media houses both local and international to collaborate with the health workers to help people by giving out full information on how to prevent and protect themselves from covid-19.

The official spoke to Don Bosco radio during an exclusive interview in his office.
