Over 2000 people were displaced in the former Mukaya County of Defunct Yei River state last week.
Former Minister of gender child and social welfare Awate Esther explains that there are many people sheltering at Gezira IDPs site.
She adds the displaced people lack food and none food items and their children are starving due to hunger.
Elder of Mukaya community and former minister of cooperatives and rural development Bullen Amos Soro says for two days they have been receiving a big number of citizens at Gezira site with unknown reason.
The community elder says they are looking for intervention in order to help the displaced with food and none food items.
Meanwhile Paul Igga wash officer of South Sudan Development Organization explains that a total of 1,732 people and 333 households received none food items including soap jerry cans and buckets.
Whereas Yei state administrator Amule Felix Sosten regrets the displacements of people especially at a time when world is fighting corona virus pandemic.
He explains Yei is still not safe from the NASF forces.
The administrator mentions the abduction of about 107 citizens from 23rd to 27th of March by the forces.
He appeals for humanitarian support to the vulnerable IDPs especially the elderly, women and children.
The speakers made the remarks in an interview to Radio Easter on Friday at Gezira IDPs site in Yei.
