CRN’s Voice of Peace Radio celebrates its 11 anniversary on air

Catholic Radio Network’s station Voice of Peace Radio in Gidel Nuba Mountains under Diocese of El Obeid is celebrating its eleventh anniversary of broadcast.
 
The Radio’s director Avejege Ismail Maki appreciates the staff for their tireless effort of rendering service to the community.
 
He mentions due to the current situation of coronavirus, the station cannot hold a big celebration for their eleventh year of excellent service.
 
The director thanks Sts Peter and Paul parish, Mother of mercy hospital, government institutions and community at large for their support to the radio.
 
Maki expresses hope that the radio will continue delivering services to change lives of many in the society.
 
Voice of Peace radio started broadcast on 22nd, April 2009 in Gidel Nuba Mountains under El Obeid Diocese.
 
Annually, the station celebrates its anniversary with ceremonial activities but due to COVID-19 this year no celebration will be held.
 
The Catholic Radio Network or CRN is constitutes of nine community-based radio stations broadcasting across seven states of South Sudan and the Nuba Mountains.
