All farmers especially those with extra seeds and already they have finished planting their farms should share seeds with those who don’t have or run short of seeds, says Director-General of Agriculture in Western Equatoria.

Mariano Erneo Mangu explains that though it is a planting season, coronavirus outbreak has hindered the ministry of agriculture and other non-governmental organizations from supplying seeds to farmers like they used to do in the previous years, Anisa Radio reported.

Erneo calls upon the locals to take agriculture serious and plant enough in order to save the unexpected situations of hunger outbreak.

The director-general discloses that Western Equatoria does not have the capacity to deal with the desert locust if they appear in the region.

Currently there is no desert locust and corona virus reported in Western Equatoria State.
