UNMISS calls on IDPs to observe social distancing

United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS Wau branch urged all people living in the protection of civilians’ site to think of their health by practicing social distancing.
 
Voice of Hope Radio quoted UN head of field office Sam Muhamuri warning that the virus can easily be spread in overcrowded places like POCs.
 
He added that the only way to prevent corona virus is by following all precautionary measures.
 
Muhamuri stated that UNMISS and other partners will not force anybody out of the IDPs camp.
 
He said decision making remains the only paramount way to save them from corona virus as long as IDPs are still in POCs.
 
The head of UNMISS in Wau was speaking during an awareness campaign done by Western Bahr el Ghazal State Taskforce on corona virus in POC.
