The Ministry of Health in Western Bhar-El-Ghazal state-Wau during the commemoration of World Health Day urges people of Wau and South Sudan at large to always maintain a good personal and environmental health.
Director General in the ministry of health Dr. James Ambrose Ucin says the country is now in crisis the national and state ministries could not organize celebration of important days.
He stresses the National Ministry of Health and its Health partners are now focusing on the pandemic Novel COVID-19, hence there is no theme for this year’s world health day.
Dr. Ambrose points out that a healthy person is productive therefore, health is basic to all services.
The director general urges community members to desist from bad cultures that affect personal health.
Director General James Ambrose mentions that ‘health is the state of physical, mental, and social wellbeing and not only the absence of disease.’
Every year on April 7th the world celebrates world health day.
The official spoke to voice of hope radio on Tuesday in regard to the commemoration of World health day in Wau.
