Local Government Inspector Ding Aleu Ding on Thursday appealed to the entire population to prioritize hygiene and sanitation to avoid COVID 19 outbreak in the country.

He said hygiene needs everybody to be active by cleaning the environment at home, work and market places.

Ding noted that maintaining proper sanitation and hygiene is a collective responsibility of everyone.

‘We need to have containers for rubbish and to keep dirty water not just to be poured on road side because of various diseases’, Aleu stressed.

The workers should have medical certificates before going for work in the market, the official urged.

He advised that as the pandemic has not yet reached the young country, South Sudanese should all take precautions instead of staying without proper hygiene.

The official spoke to Don Bosco Radio in Tonj on Thursday.
