Parish Priest of Christ the King of Yei Catholic Diocese, Tom Poru Martin, on Sunday advised Christians that their lives are in the hands of God the creator as COVID-19 hits other countries.

He explains that the faithful forget God and go for worldly things and destroy their relationship with God during happy moments and only tend to come back to God the creator when facing difficult moments.

He said doctors have failed to come with a solution to Covid-19 which continues infecting and killing many people worldwide.

Fr Poru clarified that the order of suspending other Church services on Sunday did not suspend prayers at individual level, but that only communal prayers because coronavirus pandemic is risky in crowded places.

He advised the clergy to continue praying against the deadly disease to free the people from the worldwide suffering which is worsening the economic situation.

The Parish Priest was preaching on Sunday at Radio Easter after suspension of communal prayers as a measure to slow the spread of corona virus in Yei.
