Coordinator of Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO in Bahr el Ghazal Stephen Rubo Musa called on the local authorities to take care of the forces at the training centres and IDPs in the camps to prevent coronavirus.

He called for rapid action to sensitize the forces at training centres as they are at high risk of contracting the virus because of overcrowding.

Rubo advised the IDPs and forces to use the preventive measures of washing hands frequently to ensure their safety.

He urged the ministry of health to provide medical kits and testing machines in all checkpoints.

The CEPO Coordinator also asked Wau municipal council to seriously consider re-arranging the markets in the state to reduce overcrowding because it is very risky to traders and buyers.

Rubo regretted that some people within communities are taking preventive measures as a joke which according to him is risking people’s lives.

The Regional Coordinator urged people to follow the awareness given by the Ministry of Health and WHO.
