Yei County health department in collaboration with partners on Thursday conducted an extra-ordinary meeting on corona virus to disseminate the right information on how the disease can be spread and prevented.
Yei County Health Director Michael Lugala Nicholas says the meeting was very important because of the current situation of the pandemic.
Michael explains that the medical personnel need to be prepared enough to tackle the situation as they are immediate frontline people.
The director urges all medical personnel to be vigilant because the corona virus is not like Ebola, but a disaster.
Last week the state administrator of Yei started implementing the order of the presidency banning all social gatherings, closing all educational institutions and sending out awareness messages to the public in order to contain the situation.
Citizens are tasked to contact and inform the defunct ministry of Health in case of suspected signs and symptoms.
