The state ministry of health in Western Bhar-El-Ghazal state is calling on humanitarian agencies to enlighten people living in internally displaced camps or IDPs about the corona virus.
Director General in the ministry of health Dr. James Ambrose Ucin, says IDPs are congested in the camps and the ministry has no right to evacuate them.
He requests IDPs to maintain cleanliness always to avoid diseases like diarrhoea.
Dr. Ambrose says his ministry will write a document to the Secretary General regarding how best to help IDPs to fight this COVID-19.
South Sudan does not have any confirmed case of COVID-19 and it has heightened its precautionary measures against the virus.
