Former commissioner of Manlor County confirms 24 stolen cattle were recovered last week and handed over to their owners in Jur River County.
According to Voice of Hope Radio, Paul Mangong says the return of the cattle is as a result of implementing the Marial baai agreement to ensure peaceful coexistence between cattle keepers and farmers.
He adds that last year many people lost their lives due to conflict between cattle keepers and farmers.
Mangong hopes that such kind of conflict will never happen again, because people are at the time of peace and development.
The commissioner also points out that last year Manlor County faced lots of challenges like flooding, sicknesses and lack of health facilities.
He urges the national government and humanitarian agencies to provide health facilities and create awareness on prevention of COVID-19 to citizens.
The speaker made the remarks to Voice of Hope Radio over a telephone interview.
