Police arrested and detained a person suspected of killing a woman last week in Jebel Kheir residential area in Wau, Police Commissioner in Wau, Western Bahr el Ghazal State Major General, Samuel Ajoung Chour, confirmed to media.
He says investigation is ongoing and police forces are committed and serious to arrest any criminal disturbing the population.
Major General Ajoung asked citizens to collaborate with the policemen to be able to control all crimes in the state because without the help of citizens, police officers cannot manage alone.
Samuel urges citizens to report any criminal activity to the police because it helps to identify and reduce criminal activities in the areas.
Police Commissioner made these statements to VoH radio on Wednesday at Police headquarters in Wau.
