An MP Eastern Equatorial State Parliament is calling for awareness to the host community on how to manage natural resources.
Chairperson of Specialized Committee of Natural Resources at the State Assembly Grace Tobs said the community will only protect their natural resources when they understand the benefits.
TH MP added that the available resources have not been used in a right way due to inadequate skills amongst people.
Meanwhile an officer working for Democracy International Urudi Caesar encouraged authorities to be the eyes of citizens in the state.
Earlier, the community of Hatire area called on concerned authorities to help improve their standard of living through proper use of natural resources.
The community members said when resources are used rightly, services can be delivered to citizens.
