The consistence callers of Don Bosco Radio urged the local and national authorities to carryout comprehensive disarmament to adhere to the inclusive insecurity in the town and the grassroots level of former Tonj State.
They expressed their deepest stresses on the current situation of the former defunct Tonj, that involve killing of innocent lives, raping, kidnapping and looting of properties in and across the state, Don Bosco Radio reported.
One of the listeners who spoke anonymously for security purposes, called on civilians to hand over the guns to the government.
He urged government to come up with mechanisms to collect all guns from civilians because without to curb insecurity.
Another listerner pointed out that guns should only remain with the organized forces like prison services and police officers for security maintenance in the area.
He also argued that there is a need for comprehensive disarmament of weapons from civilians to be done and without government intervention nothing can happen.
