Shortage of water and high prices hits restaurants’ owners in Tonj

Shortage of water and high prices in markets have greatly affected big number of restaurants owners in Tonj South County leading to the dropping of customers out.
 
Monica Maju Ali complained through Don Bosco Radio that the cost of one jerrycan is 50 South Sudanese Pounds, too much for them to sustain their business.
 
She pointed out that also commodities prices are still high compared to previous years.
 
Maju appealed to concerned authorities to look into the issues of water and prices especially to the business people.
 
Arop Roup, a worker at restaurant in Malith Market, emphasized that absence of water has caused delay of food.
 
Meanwhile Angong Jok Ayiei complained that there is no profit that business owners are earning on the current situation of high prices in the market.
 
If peace is in the country why still there is high prices of commodities, she questioned.
 
The speakers made the remarks in an interview to Don Bosco Radio on Thursday.
