Organization for Migration or IOM appealed for 119.3 Million US Dollars to meet the needs of internally displaced persons or IDPs, returnees, host community members and migrants throughout South Sudan.
IOM in s statement said the appeal was built on 2020 Humanitarian Response Plan for South Sudan which faces a difficult recovery.
The consolidated plea recognizes the significant needs that persist across the young country.
Aid agencies estimated that 7.5 million South Sudanese including 1.5 million IDPs and 2.2 million refugees in neighbouring countries are in dire need of humanitarian assistance.
In recent weeks the East African nation has also been hit by an invasion of desert locusts that are threatening the food security situation of millions.
