Archbishop of Khartoum Michael Didi said Bahr Al Ghazal is the root foundation of Catholic faith in South Sudan followed by other regions.
He advised Christians of Wau to strengthen their faith according to Catholic teachings and to show good example of Christianity.
Archbishop Didi recalled that when South Sudan was divided to missionaries, Bahr Al Ghazal region was given to Roman Catholic Church except Rumbek.
The Archbishop pointed out that faithful should react as real catholic and believers through prayers and preserve the new generation with culture, norms and tradition of the Catholic Church.
Archbishop made these remarks to Voice of Hope Radio during the ordination of five deacons.
The deacons are: Emmanuel Elia Pasquale from St Mary Parish Cathedral, Charles Akoon Nuer, St Daniel Comboni Wau, David Mayen Guot, St. George Awiel, Ambrose Barach Awen of St Mary Immaculate, Mayen Abun and Paul Sabino Wadito Holy family –Nazareth.
