Pray for the transitional government of national unity which was formed on February 22, so that peace preveils in the nation, Yei Catholic Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe urged the faithful at Christ the King Cathedral on Sunday.
He said the leaders are realizing that after spoiling peace, they reconciled and be united again.
Bishop Lodu advised citizens to pray so that the country does not get back to war as people are fed up of war.
He encouraged the leaders to cooperate and work together for development and uniting the divided citizens.
The catholic prelate prayed that citizens who are seeking refuge in the neighbouring countries come back and be welcomed with one heart because it was conflict that forced them to go out.
He encouraged the Christians to start cultivation as soon as rain begins to put in place all the things destroyed during the conflict
The Bishop prayed for the opening of the roads such that people are allowed to access their villages to carry out agricultural projects to boost their livelihoods.
Bishop Lodu warned those who are still holding guns against disturbing peace and causing confusion, and that it is unfair for a human being to behave negatively.
