As the Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity or TRGoNU is being formed, Torit has registered a significant drop of United State Dollar exchange rates.
Previously one hundred USD was equivalent to thirty three thousand South Sudanese Pounds.
Chandiru Jackline, a business woman, acknowledged that the rate will help the poor population to afford basic services in the market.
Jackline is optimistic the rate will continue dropping in order to stabilize the ongoing economic crisis in the country.
Another trader in Torit town, who spoke anonymously to Radio Emmanuel, applauded the two principals for their commitments in ensuring the country’s stability.
He hopes the government formed will bear fruit that every citizen of South Sudan will enjoy.
