The peace guarantors Sudan, Uganda, Kenya and South Africa on Saturday asked the international community to work on lifting-off sanctions of South Sudan and it’s leader.
Special Envoys representative, Stephen Kalonzo Misyoka, urged the international community to keep on supporting South Sudan on the revitalized government implementation process.
He appreciated the role played by youth and women in particular during the peace processes.
Ugandan Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda, asked the world community to ensure on lifting off sanctions from South Sudan to stabilize the country’s economic situation.
President of Sudan Sovereign Council, Lieutent General Abdel Fatah Al Burhan, asked the global community to work on the sanction enforced on South Sudan to be lifted-off.
He added that as Sudan chaired the Inter-governmental Authority on Development or IGAD, they vow to keep on working and supporting the country during this period.
The officials were addressing the diplomatic corps and other guests plus peace guarantors during the swearing-in ceremony of the four vice presidents.
The United States government forced sanctioned on senior government officials during the incumbent transitional government period for spoiling and delaying the peace implementation processes.
