Holiness is a process for struggle to get graces of the Almighty God, Fr Emmanuel Lodongo Sebit Secretary-General of Yei Catholic Diocese told the faithful on Sunday at Christ the King Cathedral.
Radio Easter quoted him explaining that holiness does not prevent Christians from falling into temptation or difficult times, but that is a process of continuing struggles with the life and grace of Christ to with them.
Fr Lodongo quoted Saint Paul saying the body of believers is the temple of God.
It is God who is keeping because the Holy Spirit the one directing the lives thoughts and feelings of the faithful, Secretary-General stressed.
He says the body of Christians is the temple of God and that should be kept holy and clean.
‘As it is a process of daily life with a lot of temptations and difficulty, we should acknowledge the failures of shortcomings and uniqueness of the power and grace of God which can change, unite and gives the heart to reconcile, be united’, the priest elaborated.
He encouraged the Christians to continue struggling for faith, believe and having the spirit of God.
The Secretary-General was giving homily on Sunday at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei.
