Kiir and Riek agree to form revitalised government on 22 February

The two principals to the revitalised peace agreement agree to form the new government on time setting aside the pending issues.
 
They agreed to resolve the remaining outstanding issues after the formation of the R-TGoNU.
 
Designated First Vice President Dr Riek Machar says both of them are confident about resolving the pending issues completely.
 
While President Salva Kiir Mayardit says the protection of the opposition official is his responsibility as the head of State.
 
He assures the parties that his forces will be in charge of security in all areas and as discussion continues.
 
The president will start with the appointment of Dr Riek Machar as First Vice President on Friday follows by the other vice.
 
President Kiir assures citizens that the changes occurring in the country is for the sake of peace to prevail.
 
He adds if the conflict stops completely in the next three years people will see great changes.
 
The head of state calls on IDPs and refugees to return home because peace is on the horizon.
 
Meanwhile Sudan Sovereign Council Deputy Head Mohammad Hamdan Daglo says February, 22nd will be marked as a special day in South Sudan.
 
The training of the necessary forces and some logistical challenges are yet to be addressed by the two leaders.
 
The two principals met in Juba on Thursday to agree on the formation of the Transitional Government of National Unity.
