Over forty women in Odikolong community on Sunday crowded the resident of executive chief of Ilangi Block singing and shouting with bundles of grass on their heads.
Deputy Head Chief of Ilangi Block Andrew Ottok told Radio Emmanuel that 49 bundles of grass were brought to executive chief compound for building his personal home.
‘The chief and community of Odikolong surely brought the grass yesterday, they brought 49 bundles of grass, and others are still coming. The chief was renting that is why they decided to build for him his own house. It is not going to be one house, for the chief need to have three to four houses because he might have visitors’, the leader explaines.
Meanwhile one of the members of community action group Kerbino Dente calls for unity and collaboration between the people and their leaders.
‘We need good hearts that can join us together like our brothers and sisters in Odikoong. If all of us could be like the people of Odikolong that can pave way for people to delivers good services, we need also to reward him/her with good thing’, he encourages.
The officials made the remarks to Radio Emmanuel on Monday in Torit.
