Youth of Yei River State expressed their support to the retention of 32 states plus Abyei Administrative Area.

Denis Lodu Edward explained to Radio Easter that the young people are supporting the leadership on the number of states.

The creation of the 32 states has brought services closure to citizens where processing of national certificate are brought to the state, he said.

Lodu added that unemployment of youth has been reduced because some of them are employed in the Ministries of Finance, Local Government and Information.

If the states are reduced it will create a gap of unemployment to the young people, he added.

Lodu urged the government to restore peace in the country to stop the bloodshed in the nation because many youth have been lost during the war.

Jenifer Yabu argued that when a child is born, it does not go back to the womb of the mother, but begins to grow.

She stressed that the women are in support of the government in the demand of the 32 states plus.

Yabu cited that if the government is formed there will be permanent peace and development will be realized, but if it fails citizens will not get and enjoy their rights and freedom.

She urged the government to listen to the cry of women for peace in the state and the country at large.

The speakers made the remarks on Friday at Yei Freedom Square during consultative rally.
