The national Ministry of Federal Affairs on Monday organized one-day debate in Wau on federalism system of governance in South Sudan.
Focal person of federalism in Wau Viola Alexander said the purpose of the debate on the federalism system is to have a separate system of governance in the country, Voice of Hope Radio reported.
Member of National Legislative Assembly Mark Nyipuoch Ubang explained that federalism system of governance is the peoples’ demand.
He added that this system is a constitutional mechanism which will introduce essential capacities of governance to exist in South Sudan.
The MP added that federalism system can bring peace, stability, development and essential management system in South Sudan.
The debate was organized in the three regions of Equatoria, Upper Nile and concluded with Greater Bahr Al Ghazal Regions.
The Debate was under the theme: ‘Blazing the trail towards democratic federal governance’.
