Torit State declares 2019-2020 Primary Eight results

Torit State Ministry announced the results for 2019-2020 Primary Leaving Examinations.
 
Torit State registered 218 primary schools where, 98 sat for primary eight exams and 120 did not due to economic crisis in the state.
 
During the announcement, State Minister of Education, Hassen Urbano Alex says out of 2,303 pupils, 92 percent pass, while 8 failed.
 
He says this year’s performance has improved compared to 2018-2019.
 
‘The total number of candidates who registered is 2303 and those who sat are 2248 while 55 did not; and the total number of candidates who passed is 2062 and those who failed are 186. The percentage pass is 92 and 8%failed’
 
Urbano declares, Wilson Ausensio and Khemis Odongi from Christ Bright Academy the best performed student with 91.2 marks scored.
 
According to minister Urbano, St. Kizito Primary school of Ikwoto County performed the best with 100 percent passed, followed by Airport View Primary School.

The Representative of school management committee of Christ Bright Academy Piu Lokoro Matio expressed his happiness for the two discipline pupils who passed well in his school.
 
‘I am today very happy that we have two pupils who performed well in our school. This is contributing to hard work of teachers and discipline of the pupil these two pupils but I think they are not the only one as we are looking at result’.
 
About 2300 candidates sit for 2019 2020 South Sudan Certificate of Primary Education in Torit.
