Loreto Girls’ Secondary School of the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek is complaining of early and forced marriages that led to drop out of girls before completing four years.

School Director Sister Orla Treacy said many girls get married every year after going for holydays, Good News Radio reported.

According to her, the drop out negatively impacted on school donation and girls’ future.

Sr. Orla says the school is going to reject admitting students that will be married off earlier by their parents.

Loreto Head Teacher Uyga Charles confirmed that parents are breaching the commitments they signed with the school administration to allow girls complete their four years studies.

They were speaking to Good News Radio on Tuesday in Rumbek.
